6 Days Gorilla and Game Tour Experience

 

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Pick up from airport, get briefed by our guide and drive off to your hotel room where you will spend the night amidist beautiful night views of Kampala city. If time permits, you can have a short tour around kampala city and don’t forget to eat the famous Rolex while at it

DAY 2: TRAVEL TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park passing through masaka and making a stop at the equator for photographs, experiments and buying souvenirs. A stop will be made at for lunch before finally proceeding into the park with an enroute game drive to the hotel where you will have dinner and spend your night

DAY 3: ACTIVITIES IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After an Early morning breakfast at 6:30am, Head off for a game drive encountering the big five like lions, elephants and buffaloes among others. Watch out for the rare tree climbing lions only found in that national park in Uganda Later proceed to visit the salt lake, lake Katwe where salt is mined. See how local salt is mined and processed rudimentarily before retiring for lunch. After a sumptuous lunch in the afternoon, get on for a 2-3 hour boat cruise along Kazinga channel amidst hippos and other aquatic animals . Don’t forget to look out for unique and endemic bird species common to that area only. Always take time off for photographing the beautiful views and animals from the lake.

DAY 4: GAME DRIVE IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After your early morning breakfast, head off for a 3-4 hour game drive viewing giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, zebras, Bush bucks, lions, hippos and birds like shoebills .
In the afternoon after lunch at 2pm, set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park passing through the southern sector ishasha, home to the rare tree climbing lions

DAY 5: GORILLA TRACKING AT BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Wake up very at 6:00am for early breakfast and go gorilla trekking. This activity involves a nature walk in the Impenetrable forest, clearing paths for you using machetes to easily access the rare mountain gorillas only found in the virunga region of Africa. While having the nature walk, prepare for a three hour hike filled with many bird and butterfly species, beautiful scenery and unique plant species and spend an hour with the primates taking pictures and learning more about them.

Later on return and have lunch and either have a relaxed evening at your hotel or visit the communities surrounding the park and learn more about their way of life, how they co-exist with the wild, farming styles, economic activities participated in and anything more they have for presentation.

DAY 6: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA

Return to kampala after breakfast with a stop over at the equator again if you may want to passing through the beautiful kigezi highlands and stopping at various points for photography and scenic viewing. You will still get to encounter African homesteads and farms and stop at either mbarara or masaka for lunch at choice
